Open Badges
NEW
A practical guide to manage and showcase your verifiable TSplus Open Badges with Open Badge Passport

From Badgr to Open Badge Passport
How our badges work. When you complete a certification, TSplus Academy issues an Open Badge: an image that carries metadata about who earned it, who issued it and which criteria were met. The badge lives in your Academy profile, where it stays verifiable. To display it elsewhere (LinkedIn, resume, email signature) while keeping that verifiability, you need a badge wallet, a service that stores and shares Open Badges.
What is changing. Until now that wallet was Badgr, now Parchment. Badgr has ended its free issuing offer.
- Everything already stored on Badgr stays online and viewable. Certified learners lose nothing.
- Only new badges need a different wallet, since Badgr no longer accepts them.
- The wallet we now recommend is Open Badge Passport, built by the Finnish company Open Badge Factory. It is free, hosted in Europe, GDPR compliant and certified by 1EdTech (the body behind the Open Badges standard) for versions 2.0 and 3.0. A European option, better aligned with our data protection standards.
